Financial helping happens relatively rarely on Aidpage. In most cases, people help each other with pointing to resources (online and local), advice, words of encouragement, sending small packages with stuff, and sharing of experience.
Aidpage does not collect any information about specific cases and ways people might help each other. That's why there are no published "success stories."
I see that you have been a member for a couple of years now, I just wondered if you know of any cases where people have actually been helped by others financially. I have read the needs and sad stories that many are faced with but I have not read anything about anyones success story? Also do you know of any other sites or additional help that may be worth looking into when your in a crisis? The number 1 source, PRAYER we've continued to do that nightly, almost seems as though GOD does not hear us. Thanks for any encouragement!
Hi. I am Benita a 28 yr old female with 4 daughters. I am looking for help in buying plane tickets to move my girls and myself to CA where there is family waiting for us. I have been a SAHM for 2 years so I have no income. My husband has taken off and left the girls and I high and dry and we are about to be kicked out of this house because the rent hasn't been paid. I tried providing daycare services only to find out that the money isn't even enough to buy the plane tickets. I REALLY need help in order to keep my girls and I off the streets. I was told by another member that you knew of a few places that have resources for people in my situation. Can you please help me to find them? Thank you, Benita

Dear Soulight, You are soooooo very kind and thoughtful. Ido truly appreciate your recent postings on how to spot scams. I work in the field of social services and know that people in need are more vulnerable. I too have seen postings on aidpage which have pushed the panic button on my maternal instincts. Thank you for trying to protect people seeking help. I have noted that you also visited the Voiced One's site. This I do believe is a scam because If you have seen her most recent posting that she looks for tax write off by helping individuals, you would know that any money gifted to an individual is not a write off. Only donations to legitimate charities are tax deductible. Money given to individuals as gifts is not. I am going to forward this to Emil as well. Thanks again for trying to protect the innocent. May God reward you for all your kindnessess. Blessings, Elai ne

Miminkw We have ways to recognize potential scammers. Unfortunately, scammers try to be as active as they can be - posting multiple comments and private messages (sometimes hundreds of them) - because they know that we will remove them quickly. Please, do NOT post your email address on public web pages as this one... or on any other public web site. You can edit your comment to delete your email address. Instead, tell other people to use the private messaging option here on Aidpage to contact you.
Dear Emil: I stumbled onto your web site about 2 weeks ago and am still finding my way around. The concept is simple but ingenious. I also appreciate your constant vigilance over postings to keep the site true to its intent to help those in need. The only feature I would like to see added at this point is spell check ;-)! Thanks to all at aidpage for hosting such a valuable resource. Sincerely, Elaine

I am a new aid profile and I was just contacted by a Rev. Lenny Bride. He suggested an offer that sounded appeasing, yet now a days we are taught that not all things are great. I just wanted to inquire more information about him--if you knew who he was and if he was legit person offering legit funds.
Hello Emil, I thank you for taking a look at my page. I just put it up today. I think that this idea is a great one. Sometimes people need a great deal of help, and other times they just need a bit of advise on who to contact or a bit of encouragement. I am looking for all three...The pressing issue at the moment is money and legal help to try and make N.Y. let my grandchildren come home. If you get time you may want to read the posts I put up on the homepage...they explain in a bit more detail. If you want to know more, just ask me, I just don't want people to end up with eye-strain reading so much. Thanks for giving ordinary people a chance to do extraordinary things. Steph.
